Apple devices are using
iOS 8 in their new gadgets such as
iPhone 6 and
iPhone 6 plus. Now
Tutorial Elek will show you the general
iOS 8 tips and tricks. Check the trips and tricks below.
- Change the text size and bold text
Tired
of the current text size, you can try to change the text size or bold
all texts. To do this, go to Display & Brightness --> Bold Text.
- Find apps that consumes battery the most
Apple will not show you the apps that are consuming the most memory, but it allows everyone to check apps that have consumed battery over the last 24 hours or 6 days. To check this, Go to Settings --> General --> Usage --> Battery Usage. Here you can monitor the apps that are using more power than others.
This setting is now changed from Wallpapers & Brightness to Display and Brightness.
- Standard or Zoomed Display
For people who are bored with the standard display, on the iPhone 6
and iPhone user can now change the display setting from standard to zoomed.
To switch from Standard display to Zoomed Display go to
Settings --> Display --> Display Zoom and choose Standard or Zoomed.
You need Siri but too lazy to press the button, just shout at it. To allow this setting, go to Settings --> General --> Siri --> Allow "Hey Siri". Note: this setting will only work when you connect your iPhone to a power source.
- Favorite and recent people
This is for you who text or call certain people very often. By doing this you no longer need to waste your time finding the contact among other contacts. To do this, double tap on the home
button to show the app tray. You will see circles of people you've just talked or texted to and then swipe to the left to show your Favourites. Press on their face (or icon) to reveal
shortcuts to call, message, FaceTime, and FaceTime Audio.
- 10-day forecast in weather
If you
work outside more often rather than work inside, then the weather
forecast must be the important thing you need before starting the day or
arranging appointment with other people. This setting will allow you to
see the weather forecast not only for a day, but also for 10 days. To
set this setting go to weather, and swipe up on
any city. Now you will be able to see the 10 day forecast together with
additional information such as a mini weather forecast for the day, sunrise
and sunset times and the chance of rain.
- Setting up Do Not Disturb
If you want to have more quality time and you don't want anyone to disturb you, it's best to set Do Not Disturb mode on your iPhone. This setting is better than shut off your iPhone, because you still be able to use it whenever you want. To enable this setting go to Settings --> Do Not Disturb
and then set the time you don't want to disturb. During
that time your phone will mute all calls and alerts. Don't worry that you might miss an important call because you can set the phone to allow
calls from Favourites.
Hope the tips and tricks will help you.
